Silicone RTV-2 Addition-curing
![]()
Major Characteristics
- Elastosil vulcanised by addition reaction and is made of two components A and B, with a mix ratio of 9:1 or 10:1 depending on the product. The catalysing agent is contained in Component B.
- This proportion makes mixing simple
- A special characteristic of addition reaction silicone is the absence of contraction during vulcanisation.
- To avoid possible vulcanisation inhibition, the work materials must be perfectly clean during the vulcanisation process.
- The moulds can be used immediately after de-moulding
- The addition-based silicone reticulation process time can be shortened by increasing the temperature
- Shore A hardness range 13 to 55
